  • Inflammation

  • Muscle contractures
  • Muscle cramps
  • Pain (without inflammation)
  • Improved muscular endurance
  • Improved blood circulation

What are the benefits?

  • Pain relief: with it you can apply cold in trauma injuries or tennis elbow, so that its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect relieves acute pain. You can also apply heat in cases where it is required to improve circulation to generate a sedative effect on muscle tissues.
  • Reduce inflammation: all inflammatory processes due to physical injuries are controlled with cold compresses, applied in a period no longer than 15-20 minutes. The gel pack will prevent burns if you know how to use it. The transmission of cold accelerates the reduction of inflammation in the soft tissues and at the same time reduces the pain that this generates in the elbow.
  • Accelerates recovery: this gel pack also correctly transfers heat to the tissues. By increasing the body temperature, you get more oxygen through the blood to the muscle fibers in the arms and elbows. In addition to oxygen, the blood transmits the nutrients they need to be healthy and regenerate faster.
  • Injury prevention: After a heavy work effort, such as lifting, pulling or pushing, the forearm and arm are likely to be sore. To avoid these annoying symptoms, it is recommended to apply cold with this gel pack that will help prevent exhaustion, inflammation and muscle pain due to the overload of work in your daily workday.
  • Compression: they have a thick Velcro strap that serves to keep the garment fixed and to give compression to the area of the arm or forearm where you want to apply cold or heat. Very practical to perform the PRICE method because the compression will help the cold gel to reduce symptoms such as inflammation and pain.
  • Improves sports performance: what is wanted with this gel pack is that you avoid at all costs injuries that may affect your training pace, which surely you need to be increasingly intense. Avoiding muscle fatigue and injuries is a useful way to stay active and keep improving in the face of an important competition for you. Use this bag if you have a possible recurring arm ailment.
  • Improves blood circulation: By placing heat on the skin, blood vessels and arteries dilate to carry more plasma to the muscle fibers and other tissues. When more blood reaches the muscles, they receive more nutrients and stay hydrated, making them more resistant to injury.
  • Cellular activation: although this is a slow and natural process in the body, when you apply heat for several minutes you favor and stimulate cellular activation to achieve benefits such as faster recovery for arm or elbow injuries.
  • Reduces bruises: if you use this cold gel pack you will make the bruise from a contusion does not expand and disappear in less time, since the blood risk will be cut so that no more bruises are made to lengthen the recovery.

When to use?

Cold therapy

  • When to apply cold? Unlike heat therapies, cold should be used from the moment the injury occurs, so you can avoid complications due to the progression of symptoms such as swelling, pain and bruising in the affected areas. But the person should know in what type of injuries can apply cold on their own, it is only recommended in soft tissue ailments such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, in this case those of the elbow, forearm and hand. Under no circumstances should the cold gel pack be placed on third degree sprains and fractures, especially when it is open and goes through the skin. Nor when there are open wounds such as knife cuts.
  • How to use cold? This bag has a special fabric that will protect the skin from burns, but you should always be careful not to use it directly from the freezer to the surface of the arm, allow the cold to descend a little for two or three minutes. An excellent way to apply cold is to apply pressure with the gel pack for 10 minutes, never exceed 15-20 minutes to avoid numbness of the arm. Once this time is over, remove the bag and allow a rest, then you can return to place the cold on the affected area as long as you notice that the pain and inflammation goes down. This cycle can be repeated two or three times a day.

Heat therapy

  • When to apply heat? Heat generates mainly a sedative effect and an increase in circulation, making it an excellent ally to recover from injuries to muscles, ligaments and tendons of the arm and elbow. Once an injury has been suffered, heat can be used the following days to stimulate recovery and relieve pain from tendinitis, bursitis, strains and muscle contractures. It is also useful for relieving headaches, fever and toothaches as its shape can be used on parts of the body other than the arms or elbows.
  • How to use in heat? To heat the bag, boil 2 liters of water and introduce the bag once you have turned off the stove, for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also place it in the microwave for no more than 1 minute and it will be at a suitable temperature for use. After heating the heat pack, you should move the gel with your hands to better distribute the heat. Try not to use the heat pack for more than 20 minutes on the body.

Hot & Cold therapy

  • When to apply cold and heat? Cold and heat: their use is less frequent because they are only recommended in case of very strong traumatisms, in which the damaged cells must be activated by means of cold and heat. They are also used in circulatory difficulties such as varicose veins and ulcers, in which there is no proper venous return. This combination of therapies should always be suggested by a physician and applied by a physiotherapist. Once you have a diagnosis and they have outlined for you a way to use these therapies, then you can use the heat pack at home to continue with this same treatment in case of relapses or the presence of new muscle and joint discomfort.
  • How to use hot and cold? When it comes to contrast therapy, you must first start with heat and apply it for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your pain threshold. In the first few times, you will feel a lot of heat and then the body will adapt, but you should not exceed the heat capacity that the bag can transfer. Then you should continue with the cold after a short rest. As we have already mentioned, the cold should not exceed 15 minutes to avoid numbness of the arm or forearm, take into account that the band has a protective fabric that will prevent burns. This whole cycle of cold and heat can be repeated two or three times a day, as long as you feel improvement and pain relief.

Effective Ice Pack for Elbow Relief – This ice pack has been a lifesaver for my golfers elbow pain. The design contours perfectly to the shape of my elbow, providing targeted cold therapy that eases discomfort. The adjustable strap ensures a secure fit. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the strap could be a bit more comfortable during extended use. Nevertheless, it's a reliable solution for soothing pain and promoting recovery. 🩹❄️👍

Excellent for upper arm – This easily wraps around your upper arm. Gel Pack is light enough so you can do this with one hand. Unfold the end of the strap to expose the Velcro teeth so when you wrap it around your arm it works. I almost sent it back because I didn’t realize the end was folded. I broke my arm so I only had one hand and this saved the day.
